Streamline Inconsistent Performance Reviews
Performance reviews were handled differently by each department, leading to confusion on what exactly a successful review looked like. I worked with team managers to define detailed performance rubrics for major categories of assessment, and then built a easy-to-use worksheet for managers that automatically calculates performance scores and provides an interactive experience for managers and the staff they are reviewing.
Build a Custom Task Management System
An independent content creator wanted to add more people to his team, but all the knowledge of how he did everything was in his head. I worked with him to create standard operating procedures, create a library of documentation, and build a custom task management system where he can delegate tasks, track individual project progress, and maintain a high-level view of all projects.
Provide Clarity on the Reality of Current Roles
Trying to identify gaps in an organization was a struggle, so I interviewed leadership and each employee separately to find where the ideal state of each role and the reality of what that employee was currently doing were mismatched. New job descriptions for existing roles were drafted to bridge the differences, as well as for new roles to fill major gaps. Now the company has a playbook for hiring and career development.
Implement a Digital Asset Management Platform
They were frustrated with project assets living in a cluttered, unorganized, and system-crushingly slow external drive, so I stepped in to get them integrated with an off-the-shelf digital asset management tool. I vetted platform options, lead the implementation team, identified processes where inserting the DAM would increase efficiency and decrease employee effort/time, and trained staff on using the final solution.
Overhaul Core Values with the Team in Mind
A company wanted to overhaul their core values and ensure buy in from the entire team. I wrote and executed a series of employee surveys for leadership to learn what values were important to their team and how they felt about their current existing values. I then presented the results in a custom white paper, allowing company leadership to move forward with developing new values the whole team could get behind.
Automate Repetitive Processes
Their onboarding team was wasting valuable time slogging through the dozens of manual steps to get new clients set up in all necessary systems. I audited the existing process, identified all pieces that could be automated by leveraging integrations and system workflows, and built said automations, including adding new steps to the process that had been living on a “we’ll get to it eventually” list.
